Our Story

We have always been risk takers. It all started in Missouri about 5 years ago when we decided we did not like the future that we saw ahead of us. So, we took a leap of faith and moved to the Oil Field in New Mexico. Jared quickly worked his way up the ladder and eventually was managing a small family run company called Highway Child LLC. I became an employment consultant with my own office and no boss to answer to on a daily basis. We got a small taste of what it was like to run our own company, and we have been craving that ever since!

Jared’s dispatching career took us from Artesia, New Mexico, to Midland, Texas and eventually to San Antonio, Texas. We were very happy. Jared’s career was really taking off and he made enough money that I could comfortably be a stay at home mother. We were blessed! But, the oil field can get rough! Jared’s career was very demanding and left him with basically no home life. It was time to take another leap of faith!

Although we had no plan, we knew that we wanted to spend more time together and see our family and friends in Missouri again. We also knew that we no longer wanted to put in so much hard work and so many hours making money for someone else. We wanted our hard work and time to benefit our little family. So, we loaded up a U-Haul, prayed that God would steer us in the right direction (like he has so many other times) and here we are, back in the Midwest!

We have spent the last several months working for Tub & Top Restoration LLC in Northwest Arkansas, learning everything there is to know about resurfacing. Now, we are ready to go out on our own and take our business back home to Southwest Missouri!!! When we left Missouri, we had nothing. When we return, we will be business owners!

We have found real joy in what we do now! Jared really loves working with his hands and having an outlet for his creative craftsmanship rather than sitting at a desk all day. Over the Top Resurfacing gives home and business owners the opportunity to upgrade their kitchens, bathrooms, and otherwise in a way that that would not be possible without a large renovation budget. Not only is resurfacing much more affordable, but it is also better for the environment. By reusing what you already have, we can help to keep unnecessary waste from going into our landfills.

We know that most home-owners have a long list of upgrades they would love to do to their home, but replacing just costs too much money. It brings us great pleasure to offer everyone an affordable opportunity to love their home again!
